Calming Kichari

👆

Here is your first step towards Consciously Conceiving. Kichari is traditionally prescribed six times per year: when the season changes as well as mid seasonal. If you shop your groceries aligned with the season, your go-to dishes typically adapt after the cleanse. Kichari is also an excellent way to free your body from built up toxins and stagnation as part of a Conscious Conceiving Protocol.

Instructions

The active part of this cleanse lasts just 3 days. I'd suggest to align these with a (long) weekend, where you can spend time together and enjoy the benefits of well timed and fresh meals. The other 7 days are split in 2: 3 days prior to the cleanse, so you can mentally prepare and boost your digestive fire. The other 4 days are reserved to gradually come out of the cleanse.

Tip:

Pick and choose the recipes for the week after your cleanse before you start. This doesn't only give you something to look forward to, it also makes for a great start (or continuation) of your so called Kitchen Saddhana: the practice of medicinal cooking. Let me know if you need inspiration!!

To Prepare: 3 days prior to the active cleanse
