Here is your well rounded mono diet recipe. A mono diet is traditionally prescribed to get through each seasonal transition. The thought is that each new season, the elemental shift takes care of elemental accumulation that has happened throughout the past weeks (or months). Ayurveda loves to use this elemental shift as a way to rid your body of accumulation as well. This way, you can start a new season with ama-free channels.

Kichari is traditionally prescribed six times per year: when the season changes as well as mid seasonal. If you shop your groceries aligned with the season, your go-to dishes typically adapt after the cleanse. Other times when Kichari is supportive is both: prior to and after a period of hard work & chaos.

Instructions

To get familiar with the cleanse I'd suggest to start with a set of 3 days. When the cleanse begins, refrain from juice and have all liquids either as clear as possible (spring water at room temperature); or as an herbal tea that has been prescribed for your Dosha.
